Eva L. ‘Eve’ Dalton, 102, Brethren Village resident, homemaker, Grandview UMC member

Eva L. “Eve” Dalton, 102, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday morning, June 25, 2015, at Brethren Village, where she had been a guest for 10 years.

Born in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Lilly Mae Hedrick Sprinkle and wife of the late John “Carl” Dalton who passed away in September 1970.

A homemaker, Eve was an active member of Grandview United Methodist Church in Lancaster and also was involved with the American Red Cross and the Republican Club.

Eve will be lovingly remembered by her son: John “Jack” (Patricia) Dalton of Lititz; her grandchildren: John (Candice) Dalton of Maui, Hawaii; Lynn (Chris) Ayers of Benbrook, Texas; and Chris (Terrie) Riportella of Lititz; and a great-granddaughter, Paige K. Riportella.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Bessie, Myrtle, Earl, Howard, and Charles.

Services will we held at the Grandview United Methodist Church, 888 Pleasure Road, Lancaster, PA 17601 on Thursday, July 2, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Andrea Brown officiating. Private family entombment will be held Conestoga Memorial Park.
