Estella K. Hilton, 98, retired from Fleet Air Corp., enjoyed cooking, singing, garage sales

Estella K. Hilton, 98, a resident of Moravian Manor and formerly of Brickerville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014.

She was born in Bethel Township, Berks County, daughter of the late George Wilson and Alice Katie (Weiant) Reigle and wife of the late Roy Todd Hilton who passed away in 1985.

Estella was a member of Brunnerville United Methodist Church. She had been employed at Badorf Shoe Company, Travis Mills, and retired from Fleet Air Corporation, Ephrata. After retirement, she worked part-time for the former Oberholtzer’s Greenhouse. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, singing, garage sales, and taking care of her flower gardens.

She is survived by a daughter: Arlene J. May; five grandchildren: Cynthia, wife of Glenn Singer; Douglas, husband of Karen May; Lisa Hilton; Paige, wife of Scott Garner; and Nicole Michael, all of Lititz; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents; a son, Rodney B. Hilton; seven brothers; and four sisters; preceded her in death.

Estella’s Life Celebration Service was held Dec. 10 at Steinman Chapel at Moravian Manor, Lititz, with Rev. Richard Thierolf officiating. Interment took place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Brickerville.

The family wants to express thanks to Moravian Manor and Hospice for the excellent care given to Estella. Memorial contributions in Estella’s memory can be made to Moravian Manor, 300 W. Lemon St., Lititz, PA 17543.
