Ernest D. Wine, 65, owned Chestnut Hill Furniture, Miners Village Mennonite Church member

Ernest D. Wine, 65, of Lititz, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 15, 2018.

He was the husband of Marlene S. (Risser) Wine. Born in Dauphin County on Feb. 14, 1953, he was the son of the late Norman F. and Ada (Kreider) Wine and stepson of Miriam (Witmer) Wine of Ephrata.

Ernest was a member of Miners Village Mennonite Church. He was the owner of Chestnut Hill Furniture, Brickerville.

In addition to his wife and stepmother, he is survived by sons: Dale (Rachel) Wine of Lititz; Timothy (Laura) Wine of Newmanstown; Daniel (Bethany) Wine of Emory, Texas; Joseph (Rosene) Wine of, Malden Mass.; Stephen Wine at home; daughters: Rosene (Nelson) Siegrist of Lebanon; Sharon (Stephen) Eby of Eldorado, Ohio; Judith (Lawrence) Zimmerman of Carlisle; and Bethany (Sheldon) Sauder of Myerstown; 37 grandchildren; brothers: Stanley (Esther) Wine, Robert (Shirlene) Wine, and Norman Jay Wine all of Lebanon; sisters: Marie (Levi) Mumma of Manheim; Deborah (Aaron) Hudler of McAlisterville; a stepbrother: James Witmer of Lebanon; and two stepsisters: Patricia (Luke) Shertzer of Thompsontown, and Jane (Dale) Metzler of Lewisburg.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Edith Wine.

Funeral services were held at White Oak Mennonite Church, Manheim on April 20. Interment was in Miners Village Mennonite Cemetery, Cornwall.

The Buch Funeral Home, Manheim, was in charge of arrangements.
