Elizabeth M. King, 92, worked at Brandywine Hospital, volunteered at Landis Homes

Elizabeth M. King, 92, went home to be with her Lord Monday, Aug. 18, 2014 at Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, where she resided.

Born near Atglen, West Fallowfield Township, on July 22, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Isaac S. and Rebecca S. Mast King.

Elizabeth helped on the family farm for many years and worked as a nurses’ assistant at Brandywine Hospital for 30 years. She moved to Landis Homes in 1995. She enjoyed being involved with family gatherings and visiting folks. She was a member of Millwood Mennonite Church, Gap, and her church sewing circle. Elizabeth also volunteered at Landis Homes.

She is survived by her brother: Naaman E., husband of Marian (Steffy) King of Atglen; sister: Ada Nancy (King), wife of Vernon Smoker of Lititz; sister-in-law: Rhoda (Longacre) King; 15 nieces and nephews; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by twin brothers: Isaac M., who died in infancy, and David M. King; sister: Miriam, wife of the late Earl Graybill; foster brother: Harold Mast; and two nephews: Marlin and Kenneth King.

The funeral will be held at Millwood Mennonite Church, 441 Amish Road, Gap, on Thursday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Elvin Ressler and Chaplain Jim Leaman officiating. There will be an interpreter available for the deaf. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing one hoe prior to the service.
