Edith M. (Gehman) Kilhefner, 95, of Lititz, formerly of Ephrata, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Landis Homes Retirement Community in Lititz.

She was born in Caernarvon Township, daughter of the late Martin W. and Bertha M. (Lilley) Gehman, and was the wife of the late Harry L. Kilhefner who passed away in 2005.

Edith formerly attended Bridgeville Evangelical Congregational Church and the Ephrata Church of the Brethren. Her family treasures the memory of her unconditional love and acceptance of everyone.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Harriet, wife of Kent Douple, and a grandson: Jorg Leister, husband of Kim Leister.

Edith is survived by a daughter: Diedre, wife of David Leister of Landis Homes; a son-in-law: Kent Douple, husband of Sarah Eby; five grandchildren: Jenni Leister, wife of Yousaf Chaman; Steve Douple, husband of Carla (Heisey) Douple; Maria Leister; Elizabeth (Douple) Berg, wife of Alfredo Berg and Jason Leister, husband of Maryn (Longobardo) Leister; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
