Dru Michael Badorf, 35, Warwick grad, Michael’s Powder Coating proprietor, enjoyed snowboarding

Dru Michael Badorf, 35, of Lititz, died in an automobile accident on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016.

He was the loving husband of Carolyn Marie Kennedy Badorf for six years. Dru was “ her rock, her everything, and her cuddler” for over 14 years. He was born in Lancaster to Kathryn L. Brenner of Lititz and Richard Badorf of Roaring Branch.

A 2000 graduate of Warwick High School, Dru was voted to have the “best smile.” He also attended taxidermy school. Dru owned Michael’s Powder Coating in Kinzer and enjoyed working with his father-in-law. He was very proud to have done powder coating for Tait Towers.

Dru had a great sense of humor, he was very loving and giving, an amazing husband, and he enjoyed time with family and friends. Dru loved spending time with his nieces and nephew, and they thought the world of him. He enjoyed helping his mom maintain her home. Dru loved to hunt and fish, boat and crab at Northeast, Md., and Jackson, N.J. He cherished family trips and snowboarding with them. He also enjoyed watching golf.

In addition to his wife: Carolyn; and parents: Richard and Kathryn; Dru is survived by his paternal grandmother: June R. Badorf, of Brethren Village; and two brothers: T.J. Badorf of Lititz; and Ryan Badorf (his twin), husband of Amy, of Northumberland. Dru will be dearly missed by many.

Services were held Oct. 31 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, with Pastors Eric Landram and Ralph Moyer officiating. Interment took place in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Akron.
