Dorothy Marie Steely, 99, hard working homemaker, mother of seven, loved the Lord

Dorothy Marie Steely, 99, of Lititz, went to Heaven on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at home.

She was born in Rome, Pa., to the late Benjamin Franklin and Ada Ruth, and was the wife of the late Paul K. Steely, who passed away in 1988.

Dorothy was a homemaker and a hard worker. She was a very special woman who loved the Lord.

Dorothy is survived by two sons: Barry Lee Steely, Douglas Ray Steely; three daughters: Brenda Dianna, wife of Frank Gantz; Sandra Lee, wife of the late John Lefever; Beverly Ann Morrison; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Donald Lamar Steely, Paul K. Steely Jr.; and six siblings: Arthur, Lavinia, Catherine, Mary, Lorraine and Josephine.

Services were held Oct. 23 at Brunnerville United Methodist Church, Lititz, with Pastor Steven Rodgers officiating. Interment took place in the Brunnerville UMC cemetery.
