Dorothy Ann Groff, 92, nurse for L-S school district, enjoyed playing bridge

Dorothy Ann Groff, 92, of Lititz, passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at Landis Homes.

She was born in Akron to the late Edgar K. and Vera Mae (Stephan) Binkley and was the wife of the late Ralph H. Groff who passed away in 1999.

Dorothy was a member of the Covenant United Methodist Church. She graduated from Lancaster General School of Nursing and Millersville University. She was a registered nurse for the Lampeter-Strasburg School District, was a member of Silver Threads, AARP Chapter 530, Iris Club, and she enjoyed playing bridge.

She survived by two stepsons: R. Timothy Groff of Lancaster; and Theodore L. “Ted,” husband of Melody Miller Groff of Willow Street; two sisters: Mary Jane Fassnacht of Lititz and Ruth Goshert of Akron.

Services were held Dec. 2 at Bethany West Chapel, Landis Homes, Lititz, with interment in the Conestoga Memorial Park.
