Delmer Dee Willen, 81, Pennfield Farms driver, enjoyed motor home traveling, bluegrass festivals

Delmer Dee Willen, 81, of Manheim, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on May 16, 2018.

He was the husband of the late Arlene E. (Fisher) Willen, who died in 2016. Born in Mountain City, Tenn., on April 17, 1937, he was the son of the late Conley R. and Bonnie A. (Elliott) Willen.

Dee, as he was affectionately known, was a truck driver for the former Pennfield Farms, Fredericksburg, before retiring. Dee and his wife enjoyed traveling in their motor home and attending bluegrass festivals, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Surviving is a son: Kenneth D. Willen, Manheim; three daughters: Lois Miles (Edward), Elizabethtown; Diane Burger, Hallam; Michelle Willen, Manheim; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister: Venice Atwood (Delbert), West Grove.

Services were held May 22 at Milton Grove United Methodist Church, Mount Joy. Interment was in Kraybill Mennonite Cemetery, Mount Joy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dee’s memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg PA 17110-9378.
