Deaths of Local Interest – Sept. 6, 2018

Betty Lou Klinedinst, 92, of Mount Joy, passed away Aug. 30 at Masonic Villages, Elizabethtown. Betty worked for Wyeth Laboratories as executive secretary. She retired in 1989 from the former Northeast Development Construction Company as the president and CEO. Betty was a member of Glossbrenner United Methodist Church in Mount Joy, where she sang in the choir, was on the PPR committee and was treasurer of the Sunday school. A sister, Judy Hansalik, wife of George, resides in Lititz.

Harold H. Martin, 73, of Ephrata, went to be with Jesus on Aug. 30. He was married 48 years to Mildred E. Hoover Martin. Born in Warwick Township, he was the son of the late Frank H. and Reba E. Hoffman Martin. Harold retired from Sauder Eggs in 2011, where he had worked for over 20 years. Prior to that he had been employed by the F & M Hat Co. in Denver. He was a member of the Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community. His interests included gardening, trains, antique farm equipment and vacationing with his family. A son, Wayne L., husband of Karla J. Hoover Martin, lives in Lititz.
