Deaths of Local Interest – Sept. 19, 2019

Louis P. Carotto, 76, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sept. 11 at Hospice and Community Care. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, He was employed as a general foreman by the former Raybestos in Manheim for 25 years. He enjoyed traveling and watching NASCAR. His daughter, Penny M. Carotto, resides in Manheim.

Anna Marie Palmer, 88, of Willow Street, passed away peacefully Sept. 8 at Oak Leaf Manor. She was worked at the former Rebman’s store. Her family brought her the most joy in her life. The following surviving relatives live in Lititz: son, John (Jack) Patrick Palmer, husband of Gretchen L. (Zerphy); grandchildren, Kristen L. (Ryan P.) Brokaw, and Kelly N. and Kerry M. Palmer; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Miley and Lacey Brokaw.

Arlene R. Redcay, 87, of Ephrata, died Sept. 13 at Fairmount Homes. She retired in 1997 from the Coatesville Savings Bank as bank manager. She and her husband were also avid bicycle riders and enjoyed riding Rails to Trails. A son, David, married to Laura (McDougall) Redcay, lives in Manheim. Her brother, Glenn Good, lives in Lititz.
