Deaths of Local Interest – Oct. 22, 2015
Perry M. Chambers, 58, of Conestoga, died unexpectedly Oct. 10 at home of natural causes. Perry retired from Harley-Davidson, York. He was avid Steelers fan and Sprint Car enthusiast and a lifelong motorcycle rider. He was a member of the Pequea Boat Club. A sister, Joanne M. Chambers, lives in Manheim.
Cynthia A. Cox, 61, of Lancaster, died Oct. 10. She was a graduate of Cocalico High School and Elizabethtown College. The proud owner of Just 4 Petz Mobile Grooming, she was a dedicated volunteer to rescuing and finding homes for animals. Her sister, Sandy Gray, lives in Lititz.
Francis X. (Frank) Kirchner, 88, went to be with God Oct. 14 at Willow Valley Retirement Community. Frank served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After being discharged, he took advantage of the GI Bill and graduated from Franklin and Marshall College. He began working for Ernst and Ernst at the office in Philadelphia, later being made a partner and working in the South American office in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from where he retired. He spent most of his adult working life in Argentina where he was a member of the American Club and became an avid collector of art. His nephew, Charlie Fulton, lives in Lititz.
Kathryn J. Peterman, 92, of Brethren Village, passed away Oct. 12. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Millersville. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
William S. “Bill” Ream, 57, of Lancaster, died Oct. 16. He worked in the banking industry for many years in securities and investing. Most recently, he worked for First Discount Brokerage as an Investment Banker. He also enjoyed car racing, his ‘55 Chevy, golfing, shooting in the pool league, board games and watching someone else win, even with his competitive spirit. His brother, Mark D., husband of Darlene E. Ream; and nephew, Connor, all live in Lititz.
Clair K. Sensenig, 60, of Ephrata, passed away Oct. 16 at his residence after a brief illness. Clair was a member of the Metzler Mennonite Church. He was a self-employed owner/operator truck driver, enjoyed motorcycling, meeting friends for coffee in New Holland and especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters. His sister, Merla, wife of Marlin Musser, resides in Lititz.
