Deaths of Local Interest – May 22, 2014

Lottie W. Lesher, 88, of Denver, passed away May 16 at Rheems Nursing Home. She was a lifetime resident of West Cocalico Township. Lottie’s husband, the late Walter H. Lesher, Sr., passed away in 1982. Her brother, Clair Hehnly, and his companion Trudy, live in Brickerville.

Romaine S. Miller, 83, of New Holland, died unexpectedly at Lancaster General Hospital ER May 13. She was the wife of Wilbur D. Miller with whom she shared almost 56 years of marriage. Romaine was a homemaker and currently attended Petra Christian Fellowship. A brother, Harry B. Shenk, resides in Lititz.

Raymond Pujale, Jr., 59, of Marysville, died May 11. Ray enjoyed life. He was an established and well-known musician whose drumming capabilities were appreciated by many and was best recognized as the drummer for Southbound, a Country Rock band that performed in Central PA in the 70s and 80s. He was also a member of Wayward Daddies, a band who played local clubs and associations in the Ephrata and Lititz area.

Betty E. Wimer, 88, of Paradise, passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital May 13. She was a seamstress working at various area sewing factories and last worked for the Millstream Motor Lodge of Smoketown. She enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with her family. Her sister, Eva McCracken, lives in Lititz.
