Deaths of Local Interest – Aug. 29, 2019

Ricky L. Heisey, 73, of Elizabethtown, passed away Aug. 19 at Masonic Villages. He retired from Hamilton Watch. A lifetime member of Elstonville Sportsmen’s Association, Ricky enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed reading, history, and was very crafty. A son, Dustin Heisey, husband of Monica, lives in Manheim.

Donald H. Roland, 95, of Brethren Village, passed away peacefully on Aug. 25. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church where he served as a eucharistic minister. He retired from Borg Warner York as a quality control manager. Donald served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II piloting P-51 Mustangs and P-40 Warhawk fighters in the South Pacific Theater.

Donna Elaine Sensenig, 70, of Reinholds, passed away Aug. 14 at Hospice & Community Care, Lancaster. Donna was an avid reader and a Redskins fan. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna worked for Bollman’s Hat Factory and was a waitress at various coffee shops in the area. A sister, Shirl Singer, resides in Lititz.
