Dana E. Brown, 65, Vietnam vet, construction worker

Dana E. Brown, 65, of Manheim, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, at the Bob Fryer and Family Inpatient Center of Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.

Born in Darby, he was the son of the late Kenneth E. and Mary H. Springfield Brown.

After Dana graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 1970, he enlisted in the United States Army to serve his country during the Vietnam War. He spent his career as a construction worker.

He is survived by nine siblings: Kenneth E. Brown Jr. of Denver; R. Ray Brown of Chester; Mary A. Sims, Ruth L. Weaver, Thomas R. Brown, Missy Gebhard, June D. Moyer, and Debra E. Dupler, all of Manheim; and Joyce J. Landis of Reinholds.

The family would like to thank their sister, June, for her thoughtfulness and kind heart in taking care of Dana these last years.

Services were held May 3 at Hope Episcopal Church, Manheim, with the Rev. Tim Small as celebrant. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery.
