Charles LeRoy Miller Sr., 78, USMC vet, Yellow Freight driver, constable, Lititz and Brickerville Fire Co. volunteer

Charles LeRoy Miller Sr., 78, of Lititz, passed away May 27, 2016, at Magnolias Of Lancaster.

Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late Abram and Mary Miller. Charles was the loving husband of Ann Marie (Dengler) Miller for 59 years.

Charles was a retired truck driver from Yellow Freight and was known as “Mile Maker.” A veteran, he served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a PA State Constable, a volunteer with the Lititz Fire Department and the Brickerville Fire Company. Charles was a member of the American Legion Post 963, Ulysses; and the the Holiday Ramblers Club. He was an avid hunter in Potter County, and a NASCAR fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Ann, are children: Karen Marie Eberhart; Cheryl Ann Felger; and Charles LeRoy Miller Jr., husband of Diane; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister: Lorraine Shapiro; and a son-in-law: Tony Johnston.

Charles was preceded in death by a daughter: Bonnie Lynn Johnston.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m, with friends being received at 1:30, on Sunday, June 5, at Spacht-Snyder Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz, PA 17543.
