Charles H. Kronenberg IV, 45, cook at White Swan, outdoorsman, had a generous spirit

Charles Henry Kronenberg IV, 45, of Lititz, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, in Lancaster.

His mother is Diane Rapisardo of Lititz. His father is Charles Henry Kronenberg III of Lancaster. His stepmother is Lois Newswanger of Lancaster. Brian’s fiancé is Rebekah Funk of Lancaster.

Charles is survived by two brothers: Michael F. Kronenberg of Philadelphia; and Brian P. Kronenberg of Lancaster. In addition, Charles is survived by his Aunt Kaaren and Uncle Mike Burton; his Uncle Mark and Aunt Sheila Kronenberg; and many loving cousins.

Charles was employed as a cook at the White Swan Restaurant. Charles loved nature and the outdoors. His many interests included gardening, fishing, cooking, camping, biking, playing chess, and hiking in the southern end of Lancaster.

Charles had a good heart, a generous spirit, was a tireless worker, a loyal friend, and was a champion for the underdog. “If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 30, at 11 a.m., at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave., Lititz, with the Rev. James O’Blaney as celebrant. A visitation with the family will be from 10 to 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lancaster County Conservancy, 117 S. West End Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603; or to the Samaritan Counseling Center, 1803 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
