C. Howard Wagaman, 91, worked for Armstrong, U.S. Postal Service, a gentle soul, enjoyed gardening

C. Howard Wagaman, 91, of Lititz, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord, at United Zion Retirement Community on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Ruth (Kreider) and Howard Wagaman. He was married to the late Ruth I. (Shissler) Wagaman for 65 years on June 8, 2011.

Surviving is a son: Dennis H. (Kathy Gunnet) Wagaman, York; two daughters: Donna I. (Keith) Blackman, Ephrata; Diane L. (Rick) Smith, Denver; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a sister: Ditty Bucher (Bill), Lancaster: and a sister-in-law: Bev Wagaman, Lancaster.

He was preceded in death by a son: Douglas L. Wagaman; and a brother, Burnell Wagaman.

Howard retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Previously he worked at Armstrong. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and tin work. He loved his beloved lily pond. Howard will be remembered as a gentle soul. Most of all, Howard enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the light in his eyes.

Howard’s life celebration service was held at United Zion Retirement Community on May 16. Interment was in Brunnerville United Methodist Cemetery, Warwick Township.

Memorial contributions in Howard’s memory may be sent to the United Zion Retirement Community Activities Fund, 722 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
