Anna M. Nixdorf, 83, LPN, ran stand at farmer’s market, thimble collector, avid gardener

Anna M. Nixdorf, 83, of Lititz, entered into her eternal rest April 16, 2014.

Born in W. Cocalico Twp., she was a daughter of the late Victor E. and Ada Lutz Hehnly. She was the loving wife of the late Charles E. Nixdorf who died in March of 1991.

Anna had worked as LPN with the Oregon Nursing Home for over 17 years. She enjoyed gardening, collecting thimbles, loved the outdoors, and had operated a stall at the Meadowbrook Farmer’s Market in Leola for a number of years.

Surviving are two children: Raymond (Darlene F.) Hehnly, Ephrata, and Sonja (Duane A.) Grube, Lititz; three grandchildren: Nick Anthony and Michael Ray Hehnly, and Abigail N. Grube; three great-grandchildren; four siblings: Karl (Miriam) Hehnly, Mt. Airy, Evelyn (Richard) Landis, Ephrata, Pauline Firestone, Akron, and Betty Buchter, Denver.

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Pearl and Mary Hehnly.

Services were held April 21 at Spacht Funeral Home, Lititz. She was laid to rest next to her husband in the Voganville Union Cemetery, East Earl Twp.
