Anna Lucille Ressler, 96, homemaker, Good News Club teacher, enjoyed hosting guests

Anna Lucille (Risser) Ressler, 96, of Luther Acres, Lititz, formerly of Mountville, went home to Glory Thursday, July 24, 2014.

She was born in Elizabethtown, daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Risser. She was the wife of the late William K. Ressler, her husband of 72 years, who preceded her in death by six weeks.

She was a graduate of Manheim High School, Class of 1935. Anna was a homemaker, who also helped part-time at her husband’s business, Roy Ressler & Son. She taught local Good News Clubs and participated in ladies ministries at several local churches. At the time of her death, she was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Mount Joy. Gardening and hosting guests were some favorite activities in her life.

She is survived by three children: Mary Anne, wife of Elwood Heisey, Jonestown, James husband of Barbara Ressler, Manheim, and John husband of Sharon Ressler, Mount Wolf; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Marlin C. Risser.

She was preceded in death by an infant grandson; and one brother: John Risser, who passed away three weeks ago.

The Memorial Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 W. Main St., Mountville, on Sunday, Aug. 3 at 4 p.m. There is visitation with the family one hour prior to the service. Private interment in Mountville Cemetery.
