Angelo Cellucci, 87, Naval Reserve vet, Westinghouse account executive, Mellotones keyboardist

Angelo Cellucci, 87, of Lititz, formerly of Newtown Square, surrounded by his family left to join the Lord on July 7, 2016.

Angelo was born on July 6, 1929, in Philadelphia to Lorenzo and Mary (née Sandevita) Cellucci. He was the husband of Ida (née La Spina) with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.

Angelo graduated from Overbrook High School and went on to pursue a career in sales which had humble beginnings in the mail room of Westinghouse. Angelo sold fractional motors and eventually became an account executive there, receiving many awards and accolades along the way. He dedicated 37 years to Westinghouse before pursuing a similar line of work at both A.O. Smith and Mimco. Angelo served five years in the Naval Reserve as well.

Angelo was known most notably for his love and dedication to family. He also had a passion for music, especially playing the piano and accordion. He was in a band called The Mellotones for a number of years. Angelo enjoyed telling stories and jokes, but also liked to tinker around the house, earning his nickname of “Mr. Fix-it.”

He was the loving father of Angela Scorzetti, wife of Domenic D., of Lititz; and Lawrence Cellucci, husband of Inez, of Paulsboro, N.J.; adoring grandfather of Domenic A. Scorzetti, husband of Kelli; Lauren Davis, wife of Rodney; and Stefanie Cellucci.

He was preceded in death by siblings: Joseph Cellucci, Philomena Purfield, and Dorothy Cacciavillano.

Services were held July 13 at Anastasia Church, Newtown Square. Interment was at Saints Peter and Paul Church.

The family would also like to thank the caring, talented, and thoughtful staff at Moravian Manor in Lititz; especially his caregivers in the Herrnhut area. They made the last years of Angelo’s life both comfortable and dignified.
