Alma L. Young, 86, waitress, attended Hope Episcopal Church, enjoyed baking

Alma L. “Sis” Young, 86, of Mount Joy, formerly of Manheim, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 12, 2015.

Born in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd H. and Goldie Spencer Moore. She was the wife of the late C. Lee Young, William Findley, and C. Richard Achey.

Sis retired as a waitress for several restaurants in the Lancaster County area. She was a member of Hope Episcopal Church, Manheim. Her interests included baking, sewing, and traveling.

Surviving are three daughters: Nancy L., wife of Carl Wesley, of Mount Joy; Judy M. Findley of Mount Joy; Karan A. Young of Tennessee; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren with one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Wayne Moore of Florida; Earl Moore of Lock Haven; Francis Reinhart of Montgomery; and a sister: Patsy Haupt of Muncie.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Janna B. Lehman; two grandsons; four brothers: Harvey, Stanley, Emory, and Junior Moore; and three sisters: Martha Jane Reinhart, Sylvia Floyd, and Dorothy Hemphill.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at Hope Episcopal Church, 2425 Mountain Road, Manheim, on Thursday, June 4, at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service.
