Alice E. Boyle, 96, USO member, worked for N.J. Board of Education, piano teacher

Alice E. Boyle, 96, died Friday, July 10, 2015, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.

Born in Trenton, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Frank P. and Iola Bloom Sieber. She was the widow of Robert N. Boyle who died in 2005 and with whom she spent 59 years of marriage.

Alice retired from the Hamilton Township, N.J., Board of Education. In her earlier life, she was an active member of the USO and a longtime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Hamilton, N.J. She taught piano, played bridge, and was devoted to her family.

Alice is survived by two daughters and a son: Roberta B., wife of Donald Gallagher, of Lititz; Dorothy B. Meyer of Mount Joy; Richard P., husband of Barbara T. Boyle, of Hamilton, N.J. Also surviving are three grandsons: Christopher P., husband of Amy H. Boyle, Hamilton, N.J.; Daniel A., husband of Heather K. Boyle, of Hamilton, N.J.; Kevin D. Meyer, Arlington, Va.; and two great-grandsons: Iain and Timothy Boyle. Alice will be lovingly missed by her entire family, including seven nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and her sister, Dorothy Scott.

Funeral services will be announced at a later time.
