Agnes Alice Gutjahr, 86, ministry worker at Dove Fellowship Westgate and the Worship Center

Agnes Alice Gutjahr, 86, a resident of Lancashire Hall, Lancaster, and formerly of Lititz and Ephrata, fell asleep in the arms of Jesus May 2, 2016.

She was born Agnes Alice Wutzke on Aug. 2, 1929, in Peterkau, West Prussia, where she spent her childhood. As World War II was coming to an end, she and her family fled to West Germany where she met and married Frederick Gutjahr. In 1956, the family moved to Philadelphia.

She worked in various factories and also in a rehabilitation center. After retirement, Agnes and her husband moved to the Lititz area. There she was active in working for the Lord with various ministries at the Worship Center and with Dove Fellowship Westgate.

Agnes will be sadly missed by her son: John Gutjahr.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Fred; her brothers: Helmut, Ewald, and Siegfried; and her sister: Alwine.

Private interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery on Apple Street in Ephrata.
