Adeline N. King, 89, receptionist at Landis Homes, historian at Sandy Hill Community Church

Adeline N. King, 89, of Landis Homes, formerly of Wagontown, passed away at Landis Homes Thursday, June 11, 2015.

She was the wife of the late John W. King who passed away Oct. 17, 1995. She was born in Milbank, Canada, daughter of the late Eli and Magdalena Boshart Nafziger.

She was a member of Sandy Hill Community Church of Coatesville, where she was the church historian. She was a bookkeeper for David K. Mast of Coatesville and Waterloo Gardens of Exton for 12 years. In the past, she was very active in the Kings Highway Elementary School PTA and, most recently, she was a receptionist at Landis Homes.

Surviving are three children: Carolyn R., wife of Glen Runyon, of New Castle, Del.; Fred M. King of Lakeland, Fla.; Patricia L. Schrock of Arthur, Ill.; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Melville Nafziger of Lititz.

She was preceded in death by two sons: John William Jr. and Sanford L. King; and nine siblings: Ezra, Ephraim, Emanuel, Ira, Levi, Andrew, Samuel Nafziger, Catherine Esch, and Lovina Mast.

Funeral service took place on her 90th birthday, June 15, from the Sandy Hill Community Church, Coatesville, with Pastor David Klingensmith Jr. officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.
