Aaron F. Burkholder, 78, Lancaster, worked at Lititz Paper Mill, member of Lititz VFW

Aaron F. Burkholder, 78, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at his residence.

Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late George and Ann Piefer Burkholder. He was the husband of the late Anna Mary Allison Burkholder, who died in 1986.

Miller’s Foundry and the Lititz Paper Mill had employed Aaron. He enjoyed wood crafting and was a social member of the Lititz VFW.

Surviving are a daughter: Karen Deppen, wife of Phillip, of Lititz; a son: Kevin Burkholder, of Lancaster; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother: Harold Burkholder, husband of Diane, of Lititz; and two sisters: Helen Burkholder, of Lancaster; and Sylvia Painter, wife of James, of Lititz.

Two sons: Kerry Burkholder and Aaron Burkholder Jr., preceded Aaron in death.

Services were held Jan. 20 at Spacht’s Funeral Home, Lititz. Interment will be in Longenecker Cemetery.
