Aaron D. Sherman, 30, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, after a long battle with heroin addiction.

Aaron was born in Lancaster on Dec. 9, 1986. He was the son of Bruce Sherman of Manheim, and Barb Watson Sherman of Marietta.

He was a Class of 2005 graduate of Manheim Central High School and was currently employed at the Gerhart Coffee Co.

He will be dearly missed by his daughter and light of his life: Victoria Sherman, of Lebanon; a brother, Robert Sherman and wife, Letran, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; and sisters: Sherry Jerger and husband, Mitch, of Monroe, N.C.; and Michelle Eichman and fiancé, Jarred Roark, of Marietta. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother: Barbara Myer of Lancaster; and his paternal grandmother: Edrie Nasworthy of Jacksonville, Fla.; his maternal uncles: Steve Watson of Columbia, and Kenny Watson of Lancaster; and his paternal uncles: Dale Sherman of Pine Grove; and Terry Sherman of Clark, Wyo.

Aaron enjoyed the world for every beautiful thing it had to offer, leading him on many adventures that those of us who have had the pleasure of knowing him in his brief lifetime will never forget. He loved expressing his artistic nature through painting, woodworking, and playing guitar; enjoying the outdoors by hiking and camping; working out with friends; making others laugh until it hurt; and above all he enjoyed spending time with his beautiful daughter, Victoria. Aaron possessed the most amazing ability to leave his mark on anyone he ever crossed paths with throughout his life, leaving us all with the memories of his infectious smile, determination to make others happy, and the kind, uplifting words he always had for anyone in need.

Services were held April 14 at LCBC, Manheim. Interment was private and held at the convenience of his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Donegal Substance Abuse Alliance (DSAA), 47 Donegal Springs Road, Mount Joy, PA 17552; or contributions to help fund his daughter’s education, which may be sent to and in care of Barb Sherman, 126 N. Gay St., Marietta, PA 17547.
