Police seek witnesses to Friday’s accident

A 17-year-old Lititz male is in critical but stable condition as of Tuesday evening after hitting a vehicle while riding his bike April 11.

Lititz police are investigating the collision that occurred at 5:21 p.m. at the intersection of Lemon and Broad streets.

“It didn’t look good,” one witness told the Record Express.

Police said a black SUV driven by Jami L. Frank, 42, of Lititz was crossing Broad Street from West Lemon to East Lemon Street, and the boy was riding his bicycle southbound on Broad Street. As Frank was crossing, she was reportedly struck on the driver’s side of the vehicle by the bicyclist.

Four days after the accident, the boy was reported as stable but in critical condition.

Police are requesting any witnesses to the crash to come forward and contact them at 626-6393. The investigation is continuing.
