Stiegel sendoff!

By on June 7, 2017

On June 2, a parade was held to mark the closing of Stiegel Elementary School. Stiegel assistant principal Michael Pyle said that the purpose was to recognize the 103-year-old building and what it’s meant to to the community.

It also recognized the staff. Students from kindergarten to fourth grade were involved in the parade, which was led by the senior high school marching band.

Manheim Borough Police served as escorts. The Baron mascot himself was also part of the procession.

At parade’s end, Stiegel Elementary was opened for two hours for an open house and community walk-through.
