Luminaria event Dec. 5

By on December 4, 2017

Luther Acres will host its fourth annual Lights of Luthercare luminaria event on Tuesday, Dec. 5, beginning at 4:30 p.m., on the campus of Luther Acres, 600 East Main St.

More than 750 luminarias will light the paths and walkways of Luther Acres, the Luthercare senior living community in Lititz, during the community’s fourth annual Lights of Luthercare. The event provides Luther Acres residents and team members with an opportunity to honor and remember their loved ones as they celebrate the Christmas season. This year, the luminarias will provide a beautiful glow while stretching more than one and a half miles across the campus.

A team of resident and staff member volunteers will ensure each luminaria is lit by 4:30 p.m. The luminaria celebration begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Luther Acres tree-lighting program at 6:30 p.m., which will include carols, holiday reflections and fellowship.

Each luminaria represents a gift of $25 or more to honor or remember someone who has blessed the life of a luminaria sponsor. Together, these lights create an atmosphere of peace to celebrate the season. All gifts support Luthercare’s Caring Fund, which provides quality care to individuals and families who are unable to pay the full cost of the services they receive at Luthercare’s Senior Living Communities or Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Centers.
