From elementary school hallways to the 2nd Friday sidewalks, and beyond, the Lititz community will join the nation in honoring its veterans this Friday.

Veterans Day programs are planned at both John Beck and John Bonfield elementary schools. Look for photo coverage in next week’s Record Express.

Veterans are the theme of this week’s 2nd Friday celebration in downtown Lititz. See details on page A3.

Businesses such as the Lititz House will be offering their services to those who served. The local bed and breakfast will be providing free lodging to a group of veterans this Friday.

The Lititz Historical Foundation will be having a special program this weekend, and the VFW and Legion will be visiting veterans at local nursing homes and throughout the area on Friday.

For more details and profiles on some of our local veterans, see pages A20-21 in this week’s Record Express.
