Jared Hahn promoted to sergeant for the Lititz Borough Police Department.

At the request of Lititz Police Chief William Seace, borough council approved the permanent appointment of Jared Hahn as sergeant for the Lititz Borough Police Department, following his probationary period.

Hahn has been a member of the local police force since 2003 and is a 2002 graduate of Warwick High School. He also graduated from Temple University Police Academy, earning his municipal police officer certification, and studied criminal justice at Harrisburg Area Community College.

Hahn has been involved in community service since he was 14, spending time at the police department office and as a junior member of the fire company. He is currently a volunteer with Lititz Fire Company No. 1.

In June, he was named a “Top Gun” officer for his role in impaired-driver investigations, making eight arrests. He was also the first municipal officer in Lancaster County to be certified as a drug recognition expert. He handles criminal investigations, enforced standardized field sobriety testing, and emergency vehicle operations.
