Registration for the 31st annual Senior Games will begin on March 6. This year’s event will run May 6 through 10 at Spooky Nook Sports, and is open to Lancaster County residents age 55-plus.

Along with registration brochures that are mailed to past participants and continuing care facilities, new for this year is online registration. Cost to participate is $10 with a few events having an extra fee.

This year there are more than 50 events, including new opportunities to compete in ladder golf, take a Pilates class, sample some of Spooky Nook’s exercise classes, or try the rock-climbing wall. Last year, there were over 900 participants. The theme for this year is “Honoring our Veterans,” and shirt colors are red and blue.

The Senior Games would not be successful without the financial support of sponsors and the more than 300 volunteers who help with the games.

If you are interested in volunteering or participating in the games, visit or call Derek Bendetti at Lancaster County Office of Aging 717-299-7979.
