Cool cars!

No, you weren’t seeing things last Wednesday in Lititz.

Situated in the Lititz Springs Park that afternoon were some 71 antique cars, which were part of the Horseless Carriage Club of America.

Built before 1916, these early automobiles, which are known as “horseless carriages,” were able to transport cargo as well as people longer distances and at a faster rate during the early part of the 20th century.

The visit was part of a larger event — the 18th HCCA Beautiful Brass Cars National Tour and Flea Market which took place May 19-23.

Beginning at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, before they visited Lititz, the crew also stopped at the Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown, as well as various parts of Amish country. After visiting Lititz, they traveled to Schaefferstown where they visited Cornwall Manor and the Isaac Meyer Homestead.
