Book and media sale seeking donations, volunteers

Stacey Gibble Barrick, President of the Friends of the Manheim Community Library is pleased to announce that the Friends is offering its inaugural book and media sale at the Farm Show Exhibition Center. Leigh Ann Rohrer, chairperson, has announced the schedule for the event during the week of May 6-10.

The community can help make this fledgling event a huge success. Needed are donations of: hard cover fiction or non-fiction; media in working condition (no VHS or cassette tapes); paperback fiction, copyright 1980 or newer; textbooks that are less than 10 years old and any volunteer assistance you may provide for the sale.

The library hopes to increase the size and scale of this event over the future years, and they need your ideas, your support, your enthusiasm for ensuring a bright, enduring future for our library.

Schedule

May 6: Donation Night — Accepting donations of books and media, 4 to 8 p.m.. Volunteers needed to assist with sorting and set-up.

May 7: Donation Night — Accepting donations from 5 to 7 p.m. “First Dibs” sales for those who help with set-up at 7 p.m.

May 8: Preview Sale — Shop from 6 to 8 p.m. $5 entrance fee.

May 9: Sale — Book and Media Sale open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

May 10: $5 bag sale 9 a.m. to noon.
