A Very Lititz Christmas!

Lititz Hometown Christmas. a free community-wide event, took place throughout the downtown on Saturday, Dec. 8.

The day was filled with laughter, cheer, games, candy, food, and lots of fun! From 9 to 10 a.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus, thanks to the assistance of the Lititz Fire Company, made their way up and down the streets of the downtown, waving at kids, pedestrians, and fellow drivers along the way. After that, they took the time to visit with children in Lititz Springs Park. There were special treats, as well as free photo ops.

With scavenger hunt bags in hand, kids meandered around the downtown, stopping into many participating shops to claim prizes.

 Bags for the kiddos were handed out to the masses on the patio of the General Sutter Hotel.

From 10 a.m. til 1 p.m, at Trinity Church there were fun craft projects, goodie bags, balloons, face painting, a prince and princess photo op, and even a story time with Santa’s elf.

Then at 1 p.m., a children’s scavenger hunt took place all around the town. Kids picked up special scavenger hunt bags at the General Sutter Patio, and then they were off to 20 different downtown shops participating in the scavenger hunt.

What a magical day it was!
