By on October 15, 2014

Sunday was Patron Appreciation Day and Awards Ceremony at the Lancaster Polo Club at Forney Field, Rothsville. Audrey VanLuvanee won an award for most valuable player of the year and Genie won for the best polo pony.  The scored was tied up in the final game of the season, 9-9 for Team Lancaster and Team Delaware.

The game was brought to an abrupt halt when one of the players took a flying dismount and lost her glasses. Everyone was on the field looking for them, and it turned out they were in her helmet all along! A beautiful day to cap off a great polo season on Rabbit Hill.

A special thanks to the kids from the Work-to-Ride Program at the Chamounix Stables in Philly, who have helped to fill out the polo teams all year. Everyone’s invited to join us every Sunday from June to October beginning at 2:30 PM. More info at lancasterpolo.org
