Rainbow runners

Manheim is fast becoming the county seat for colorful runs. Home of the popular Rock-N-Glow 5K, the town proved on Saturday that there’s definitlely room for more color, as Burgard and Stiegel Elementary schools partnered to host the Color-A-Thon fundraiser 3K.

Participants could walk, run, skip or cartwheel through a course where they were guaranteed to be blasted by color dust. The color dust is safe, non-toxic and completely washable. It’s made of corn starch and color dyes approved by the FDA. Runners were offered optional “safety glasses” for added protection.
