Manheim marks Memorial Day with community gatherings

The Manheim Historical Society has organized a Memorial Day celebration in Manheim this year. Events include:

Community Yard Sale — A yard sale will be held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Railroad Station, 210 S. Charlotte St. To reserve a vendor spot, call 715-6950.

Parade — Manheim’s Memorial Day parade begins at 10 a.m. in the downtown area.

Mock Wax Museum — Manheim Central fifth and sixth graders will serve as tour guides for a historical tour of the Fasig and Keath Houses, 30-32 E. High St.; and the Railroad Station. Admission is free.

Lunch — A lunch concession stand will be open at the Railroad Station from 11:15 a.m. until 1 p.m.

While in town, take a ride in a trolley, enjoy a model train display, and a demonstration by the artisans at Steigel Glassworks.
