Yemel South Korean women’s choir will perform

A women’s choir from Seoul, South Korea, will perform a free concert at Lititz Church of the Brethren, 300 W. Orange St., on June 25 at 7 p.m.

The show is open to the public and a free-will offering for the choir will be received.

The choral group includes 25 singers and an accompanist, under the direction of Dr. Hyunjoo Yun. Yun received her doctorate in vocal music from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. Yun is a professor of vocal music at Seoul National University for the past 25 years, and vocal music department head.

Yun has the American name of “Audrey” and she was an exchange student from Korea arriving in the U.S. and lived with the Earl Ziegler family in Hanover from July 1965 to July 1966. She has been a member of the Ziegler family ever since.
