United Zion Car Cruise is Aug. 28

United Zion Retirement Community is hosting its 12th annual Car and Motorcycle Cruise on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 6 p.m. until dark. It will be at a new location this year: St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave., Lititz.

With up to 200 show vehicles, many food trucks, and hundreds of spectators, this event is sure to thrill any car enthusiast. This event is open to all vehicles and is free to the public.

Admission to show any vehicle is by a suggested minimum donation of $20; no pre-registration is necessary. Show cars need to be parked by 5:45 p.m.

Goodie bags and dash plaques are provided to the first 100 vehicles; prizes and certificates will be awarded to winning show vehicles by celebrity guest judges including Mayor Tim Snyder, WGAL’s Matt Moore, and Lititz Record Express reporter Cory Van Brookhoven. Lickity Split Ice Cream, Bricker’s Famous French Fries and the Kickin’ Chicken (formerly Bountiful Feast) will be on-hand offering dinner, as well as sweet treats. Music entertainment will be provided by DJ Kenny Rose of Roses Entertainment.

All proceeds support benevolent care at United Zion Retirement Community, which provides assistance should a resident’s own resources become inadequate to cover the full cost of care.
