It’s time for another Boulder Bash

By on February 7, 2018

Lititz recROC has opened registrations for the second annual Boulder Bash. This day of climbing competition will take place beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, with registration opening for on-site registrations at 8:30 a.m.

Boulder Bash will feature variety of divisions and is a great competition for both first timers and experienced climbers. Competitors will have three hours to successfully complete as many routes as possible. The score of each route climbed within the competitor’s selected division will count towards their final score for the day. Prizes will be awarded to the competitors with the top three highest scores in each division. Additionally, youth boys and girls under 13 will have their own scoring category.

“The second annual Boulder Bash is going to be a great event this year, “ says Lititz recROC director, Brooke Magni, “The climbing community of Lititz is growing at an extremely rapid rate and it’s going to be awesome to see all of the competitors. We are very lucky to be part of a thriving community of athletes who are so passionate and excited about their sport. And personally, I am looking forward to showing off our state of the art facility and neighbors in the ROCK Lititz community to a broad audience of like-minded individuals. Plus, this will be my first observation of a bouldering competition, so I plan on learning a lot too!”

Lititz recROC is located in Suite 10, 201 Rock Lititz Boulevard.

Pre-registration cost of a reduced fee of $25 will be available for those wishing to register through Feb. 17. A limited edition event t-shirt will also be given to all pre-registrants. After Feb. 18, cost will increase to $30 per competitor and shirts will be available on a first come, first served basis.
