‘Divas through the Decades’

The Mount Gretna Summer Concert series will present the brand new show “Divas through the Decades” on Sunday, Sept. 1 at the Tabernacle in the Campmeeting section of Mount Gretna at Third Street and Glossbrenner Avenue.

The final show of the season is always a fun one, where singing and dancing are encouraged. Come on out to sing and dance the night away with the fabulous Girls of Summer, an annual favorite.

This concert features Rachel Hendrickson, Kate Nice, Maria Panvini, and a five-piece band performing some of the greatest songs from the last five decades. You’ll hear the music of such artists as the Supremes, Whitney Houston, the Dixie Chicks, the Spice Girls, Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga, Meghan Trainor, Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, Blondie, Aretha Franklin, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, and more.

Telegraph Quartet

On Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mount Gretna Playhouse, 200 Pennsylvania Ave., Mount Gretna, the Telegraph Quartet closes out Gretna Music’s summer season with an all-Czech program that includes the North American premiere of an unpublished work by the legendary Antonin Dvorak.

Members of the quartet will be joined by Gretna Music founder, Carl Ellenberger, flute, and Alex Shaw, percussion, for Dvorak’s Serenade for flute, violin, viola, and triangle. A copy of the manuscript score of this work was loaned to Gretna Music by the Dvorak Library in Prague specially for this performance.
