On Saturday, April 29, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mount Hope Estate will welcome Volkswagen enthusiasts to a day of food, friends and VWs, at the 25th annual Volksfest.

Volksfest 2017 will showcase a collection of over 300 VWs, ranging from air-cooled to water cooled and fully original condition to highly modified. Patrons can shop with over 75 vendors selling new and used VW parts, VW memorabilia, t-shirts, and many other items.

The day centers around VW enthusiasts spending time with other enthusiasts and enjoying every aspect of the VW brand. Festival Sponsor, HA Boyd VW of Lebanon, will have close to a dozen Volkswagens on display, showcasing a variety of makes and models available on the market.

During this show and shine event, specialty awards will be presented to both air cooled and water cooled vehicles. There will also be awards for best and worst of show overall. Awards will be announced at 2:30 p.m., from the outside of the SBC Brewsmiths Brewery.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Isaac Meier Homestead in Myerstown, Castaway Critters in Harrisburg and the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport. Food will be available for sale throughout the day.

Fees are $1 per carload for spectators, $5 per car for show field (includes driver and passengers), and $20 for each vendor space. For more information about showing a vehicle, e-mail HAVOCPrez@gmail.com or visit GTI16V.com.

Mount Hope Estate and Winery is located at 2775 Lebanon Road, Manheim. More information about Volksfest can be found at parenfaire.com/volksfest.
