‘Shrek Jr.’ coming to Kissel Hill stage

Kissel Hill Elementary School fifth and sixth graders will present their spring musical, “Shrek the Musical Jr.,” Friday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 9, at 2 p.m., in the school gymnasium.

Doors will open 30 minutes before show time each day. Admission is free.

In this heartwarming and humorous tale, ogre Shrek leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess. This show will have audiences laughing out loud, but at its heart is a serious message of acceptance, taking pride in who we are and appreciating our individual differences. “Shrek the Musical, Jr.” promises to be a fun and entertaining show for the whole family.

Cast members include Theo Lance as Shrek, Alexa Wenger as Fiona, Katie Jeanes as Donkey, James Moll as Lord Farquaad, Karin Motter as Dragon, and Olivia Delgiacco as Pinocchio.

Directors Aimee Ketchum and Tracey Davis are assisted by Junior Directors, Warwick Middle School students Lauren Epps and Kayla Ketchum.
