Play, concert at Linden Hall this weekend

Parents weekend at Linden Hall School for Girls is coming up. As part of the festivities, a play and concert will be staged.

The fall play, “The Iliad, The Odyssey, and All of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less,” will be presented on Friday, Oct. 27, and Saturday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Snavely Family Theater.

In this spoof of classic Greek tales of gods and goddesses, directed by Dennis Foreman, 18 girls play 135 different roles. Doors open at 7 and tickets cost $5.

The fall concert, on Saturday begins with a prelude at 3:10 p.m., followed by the program at 3:30. Linden Hall’s choir and orchestra, as well as Musea and Sinfonia, its chamber music groups, will perform a variety of works from around the world and from a range of time periods.

This free performance, led by choral director Jennifer Lobo and instrumental music director Jeff Porter, will be in the fellowship hall of the Moravian Church.
