Piano, violin concert Sept. 10

Pianist Dr. Xun Pan and violinist Dana Weiderhold will appear in concert this Sunday, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m., in Wolfe Auditorium at Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike.

Xun Pan is the assistant professor, coordinator of keyboard studies at Millersville University. Born in China, he received his undergraduate studies at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and continued his studies at Syracuse University in New York, earning his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey.

A native of Minersville, Dana Weiderhold has studied under Simon Maurer, a Lancaster violin professional, and has received degrees from West Chester University and University of Maryland, College Park. Dana is principal second violinist of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra and has served as assistant concertmaster of the Pennsylvania Philharmonic.

The concert is part of the concert series sponsored by the Performing Arts Committee of Brethren Village and is open to the public, No tickets are required. A cost sharing offering will be received.
