On April 8, from noon to 3 p.m., the Lititz Lioness Club will be hosting its annual “Visions of Spring” luncheon and fashion show at the Best Western Premier Eden Resort and Suites, 222 Eden Road, Lancaster, in the Courtyard.

This event has been a huge success for the Lititz Lioness Club over the years and they have netted more than $21,000. Last year the club had a waiting list for their sell-out luncheon of more than 300 and they anticipate the same this year.

The first luncheon/fashion show was held at Linden Hall in Lititz. The members had such a good time in addition to raising money that they decided to make it an annual event. They moved to larger facilities at Assembly Hall in Brethren Village, then to The Gathering Place in Mount Joy, and finally to its current location at the Eden Resort.

Fashions have been presented by Fashion Bug, Tiger’s Eye, Shaubs, Talbots, B. Moss, Coldwater Creek, BonTon, Clemintine’s and again this year they will be presented by Ruthie’s.

Door prizes from local merchants are a big part of the program. Last year there were more than 150 door prizes awarded. Additionally, there will be a raffle for a painting by Lititz watercolorist Andy Smith. Raffle tickets for the painting are available in advance of the event and winners do not have to be present. A quilt, being made Johnnie Champ, and two shawls, made by Judy Drago McCoy, will also be raffled. Ruth Carpenter will emcee the event.

All net proceeds from this event benefit local nonprofit agencies serving the blind and vision impaired. The cost of the luncheon is $25 and advance reservations are required.

Doors open at 11 a.m., and lunch is served at noon. The event is open to the public. Tickets must be purchased no later than Friday, March 31, by calling Emily at 626-2176.

The Lititz Lioness Club is a diverse group of women dedicated to serving the community and those in need in addition to continuing support to organizations that aid the vision and hearing impaired. To learn more, visit lititzlionessclub.org.
