Award-winning woodcarver Bob Hershey, of Lititz, will be the featured guest carver at the Lancaster County WoodCarvers’ 44th annual Woodcarving and Wildlife Art Festival. The event is set for March 18 and 19 at Millersville University’s Student Memorial Center.

Hershey, who will be exhibiting his crafting skills at the show, has won several ribbons at the Artistry in Wood show in Ohio last fall. Known for his animal caricatures, he is a member of Lancaster County WoodCarvers.

The show features demonstrations, lectures, and presentations, along with displays of woodcarvings and wildlife art. Many pieces will be for sale, several by silent auction. A competition will also take place, open to club members and show exhibitors.

The show is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost of admission is $5. Those with military ID are admitted free.

Lancaster County WoodCarvers meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Brownstown Campus of Lancaster County Career & Technology Center.
