Liederkrantz Oktoberfest coming soon

The Alpenrose Schuhplattler Dancers of the Lancaster Liederkrantz will be hosting Lancaster’s oldest, traditional Oktoberfest, Sept. 20, from 6 to 11 p.m.; Sept. 21, from 1 to 11 p.m.; and Sept. 22, from noon to 5 p.m., rain or shine. The Liederkrantz is located at 722 S. Chiques Road, Manheim.

The event is a celebration of German music, food, drink, song and dance. Entertainment will include, but is not limited to: Die Lustigen Almdudler Band, Alpenrose Schuhplattler Dancers, Hobby Chor Singers, the Liederkranz chorus, Alleweil Jung Folk Dancers, Kindergruppe Schuhplattler Dancers, maypole dancing, and much more. Food and beer will be sold on-site.

The fest is cash-only; there is an ATM on the grounds. There is free shuttle-lot parking, or patrons can pay $10 fest-site parking. Only services dogs are welcome.
